Columbus Orphanage & Preparatory School

The Columbus Orphanage host about 60 children, aged from 0-18years. Some of them are orphans, some are needys. The children attend the Columbus Preparatory School, which is located in the same compound. Other needy children and orphans from the surrounding areas attend the school, too, making the total population more than 200 children. The school runs classes from Nursery to Junior High School Level 1.

Volunteer work:
Volunteers help both in the school and in the orphanage. The tasks are teaching or assisting in the classes, helping in everyday tasks in the orphanage - cooking, washing or nursing the children - and organizing free-time activity for the orphans.

Volunteers are hosted in separate rooms in the project. (max two volunteers are sharing one room)
